Optimizing Settings

Server Types Find the icon for Rock River Internet inside the Dial-Up Networking folder in the My Computer window. Click on this icon with the right button and select Properties; then select Server Type.

Only the boxes for Enable Software Compression and TCP/IP should be checked. Click TCP/IP Settings. The following options should be selected: Server assigned IP address, Server assigned name and server addresses, Use IP header compression, and Use default gateway on remote network.

Click OK to close TCP/IP settings; click OK to close Server Types; then click OK to close properties for Rock River Internet.
